Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 28, 2026

Last One Loses is designed as a quick strategy game with anonymous player identity. We collect only the minimum information needed to run the game, protect the service, and support core features like friends, daily challenges, rankings, and notifications. Your privacy matters to us, and this policy explains exactly what we collect and why.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Last One Loses, the app may automatically create an anonymous player identity. We do not require email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifying registration. The following data may be collected and stored:

  • Anonymous player ID (generated automatically)
  • Display name and friend code (chosen by you in-app)
  • Gameplay progress, wins, losses, ranked score, and streaks
  • Daily challenge history and completion data
  • Friend relationships and challenge activity
  • App settings and preferences
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications, if you enable them
  • Basic device and diagnostic information processed by Firebase and platform services

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Save your game progress, rankings, and streaks across sessions
  • Enable friend features, matchmaking, and challenge delivery
  • Provide and refresh daily challenges
  • Send push notifications about friend requests, challenges, and game events
  • Prevent abuse, cheating, and unauthorized access
  • Improve app reliability, performance, and user experience
  • Respond to support requests

3. Data Processing and Third-Party Services

Last One Loses uses Firebase (operated by Google Cloud) as its backend infrastructure. Firebase processes data for authentication, real-time database operations, cloud functions, push notifications, abuse prevention, and general app infrastructure. Google Cloud acts as a data processor on our behalf.

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or social media integrations. The app contains no ads and no behavioral tracking.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Data is only shared with service providers (Firebase/Google Cloud) as necessary to operate the app. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users and the integrity of the service.

5. Data Retention

Your game data is retained for as long as your anonymous player identity exists. If you delete your player data through the in-app Settings, the deletion process begins immediately and removes your profile, friend connections, game progress, and associated records where technically feasible. Some aggregated or anonymized data may be retained for service improvement purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), Firebase Security Rules to control data access, and server-side validation through Cloud Functions. While no system is completely immune to security threats, we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

7. Children and Families

Last One Loses is a strategy game suitable for a general audience. The app does not knowingly collect sensitive personal information from children. Because the app uses anonymous authentication and does not require personal details to play, minimal data is involved. If you believe a child has provided information that should be deleted, please contact us and we will take prompt action.

8. Delete Your Player Data

You can delete your player data at any time using the Delete Player Data option in the app's Settings screen. This initiates deletion of your anonymous player identity and all associated app data, including your profile, friendships, game history, and progress. If you cannot access the app, you may email us with your player code (if available) and we will assist with deletion.

9. International Users

Last One Loses is available globally. By using the app, you acknowledge that your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States, through Google Cloud infrastructure. We handle all data in accordance with this privacy policy regardless of where it is processed.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
